Yep and in typical MAB fashion, they just remove them from the page like they never existed. Those 2 hippos will never learn how to run a business.

Gents, would you elaborate about the event? Not able to go, and, not likely to go due to admission cost, and, having to be at show for more than 4 hours to get autos...

This was the worst managed show ever. Adios MAB.
MAB's always had a reputation regarding their major shows of being something of a wild west event in that there was no crowd control and little information availability. In the old days, mid 90's to 2010?, promoters could get away with it due to the huge names they were making available to the public. It was all part of the "show experience". That doesn't fly anymore with today's newer collectors. Newbies don't fly with chaos, not for what's being charged per autograph. MAB's been warned that people don't want that treatment anymore but they just seem to not care. It's probably why they'll disappear from the scene shortly.

If it was that crowded, chaotic and uncontrollable than obviously enough people do care and do attend.

Can anyone provide a full review? I was there from beginning to end, and it was a well run show overall. There was one problem that I saw, and that was the guy who was "calling out numbers". He was CLEARLY inexperienced, and at times, seemed more interested in meeting the players, then doing what he should have been doing. This became VERY apparent at 12 noon, when Mattingly, D'arnaud, Darling, and Ozzie Smith came out. He lost control of the room would be an understatement. He was so confused, he called out "1-30 for Ron Darling", and 5 minutes later said "1-20 for Ron Darling". I saw someone tell him that he should call 5 numbers at a time, and couldn't believe his answer-----------------IT'S TO LATE!
There was a woman who took over for him, and she clearly has done this before. She was spot on!! From then on, there were no problems with the lines.
Players that I got who were very friendly, were Travis D'arnaud, Ed Hearns, Jay Hook, Billy Wagner, and Barry Lyons. They all chatted with me and seemed happy to be there.
Honestly, I didn't see, or hear from anyone about a player who wasn't nice, but I just felt the players above, were very nice, especially D'arnaud. He seemed like a very approachable person, and I wish him the best.
As a life-long Mets fan, I hope the show did well for MAB, so that they think about having a Mets show again next year at some point. With the 30th anniversary of the '86 Mets, maybe they can bring in some of those who weren't at this show, as well as some of the '69 guys, and/or maybe some of the earlier Mets, such as Ron Hunt or Choo Choo Coleman, as they are getting up in age, and it may be the last chance for some collectors to get them.

Thank you for the review. Was Whitey there? Yes, but he was late. Not sure why.
He looked pretty good, from what I saw of him, and seemed chatty. Kinda regretting not getting his autograph now.
Also, Jim Hickman was using a walker, and I would bet money, he doesn't come back here to do shows again.

Had a BLAST at the '69 reunion show in 2009. Any plans for '86 reunion show when some of them will be in town for the 5/28 Citifield celebration?

What I will say about Tom Seaver and Willie Mays, well obviously, Willie will never do another signing of any kind as he has some issues due to his age. MAB So Willie Mays did a signing in Arizona last week. The statement above has obviously been proven to be wrong. MAB still lists him as an exclusive, but claims he will never do another signing. Even though he just did one. People want/need him. He obviously still travels as he was at the All Star Game last year and now went to Arizona. Get this guy at a signing or take him off your site. If you are unwilling to bring him in for a signing thats completely different than saying he will not sign.
