I just looked at the show page to see if there had been any names put up yet and noticed that it's being called A YANKEE EVENT. Someway, somehow that is annoying the part of my brain that wants to believe it's a 100% Yankee show. Event makes me feel it'll be MOSTLY Yankees.....and others.

While I'd like to be optimistic about the lineup for this, I can't help looking at the list of offerings for last year's Yankee show. So I decided to take my usual budgeted amount for this show and apply it to 2 upcoming Steiner public signings instead. Next week with Matsui, Richardson, Terry and Larsen; and then in December with Brosius, Teixeira, Girardi, Damon and Rivera. Unfortunately I just don't think a lineup can be composed to compete with that. I'm sure it will be the same old 77/78 guys and the same old bench players from 96-2000.

Likely January Themes include: Newly elected HOFers, '96 Yankees (20th Anniversary), '01 Yankees (15th Anniversary), Special Guests. Another idea might be Yankees starting catchers in remembrance of Yogi's passing.
Here are my requests along those lines:
96 Team Aldrete, Almonte, Boehringer, Eenhorn, Fox, Howard, James, Kelly, Luke, McIntosh, O'Neill, Posada (hard to believe but not on the Steiner exclusive list at the moment), Ruben Rivera, Sierra, Sojo, Weathers, Gerald Williams
01 Team Bragg, Choate, Coleman, Denbo, Greene, Hernandez, Hitchcock, Johnson, Keisler, Knight, McDonald, Parker, Perez, Seabol
Special Guests Burnett, Melky, Gardner, Hughes, Ibanez, Swisher, Thames, Phillips
Starting Catchers Narron, Cerone, Wynegar, Slaught, Geren, Nokes, Stanley, Girardi, Posada, Molina, Cervelli, MArtin, Stewart, McCann

I went on Steiner's site after tuddy posted and that's some double shot of Yankee signers he's got coming in. Yes it would be expensive but MAB is going to have to show a strong lineup to get what I'm guessing will be a lot of us Yankee collectors money. I do like donfan's Yankee catcher names, all of them.

Lmao you want names for a show in January ? Your kidding right ? They have a show set up less then 4 weeks from now without a single name.

Something is very wrong here, very wrong. NOBODY from MAB comes on the board to explain ANYTHING, EVER. It didn't use to be that way. A show gets canceled without a hint of explanation. That has never happened before. The Mets show is decidedly underwhelming. A first. The Yankee show has not one name up yet as a sort of appetizer. The Yankee show was always MAB's crowning achievement. There's much more than meets the eye here but we'll never know why it's the way it is because NOBODY TELLS US ANYTHING. I'm wondering if MAB is phasing out having shows and concentrating on booking their exclusives to other promoters here and out of town.

So I guess MAB hasn't changed much in the last few years for the better? Its really too bad, I used to love their shows. Wonder what happened?

In 2013 and 2014, MAB had listed over 30 guests each year for their annual Yankee shows by Nov. 15th of the corresponding year. At that point this year they have not listed a single guest.
Also, every year for as long as I can remember they started offering autograph tickets at discounted prices through various sales on the Yankees show guests by Black Friday.
