I would really love to go to this show for the weekend, it seems forever since I've attended a large show with a powerful Yankee lineup. Unfortunately the lineup for this is going to have to improve 10 fold for me to even consider it. I know it's early but this lineup tease sucks so far.

Any chance for Joe Torre and Rickey Henderson? Thanks for a great event per usual!

Great event? This isn't even a mediocre event yet. As a matter of fact, I'm becoming somewhat concerned about the lack of names, quality names, up so far. In the not too distant past MAB Yankee shows were the measuring stick for all other shows. It could take forever just to get in and get tickets it was so well attended because of the awesome, awesome signers. The last few years the lineups have pretty much been sub par and under whelming. Now added to the stew is so few names 11 weeks out. The past Yankee shows had the majority of guests listed by now. This is not a good sign as far as I'm concerned.

My friend who's a caveman just told me, "Show bad, no save, let's go Florida." I think he's right.

If it were up to me, and anybody cared about my opinion, I'd suggest doing away with these dumb theme shows. No more theme shows based on World Series winning teams because you can NEVER get the entire team together (if they're ALL asked to attend anyway). Above all, never darken my world wide interwebs screen with a 1977-1978 gathering again, PLEASE!. How about getting back to what made these Yankee shows the greatest shows in the hobby? Sit down, crack open a NY Yankees encyclopedia, call players with name recognition who haven't been around (never would be perfect) and stop when you sign up about a hundred. Some of the early 2000's shows at the Crowne Plaza were legendary and outrageous. You could get Roger Clemens and Otto Velez, David Wells and Duke Sims, A to Z. Those shows were so huge that they'd be over on Sunday night and guys were still trying to get in for the Saturday signers. There isn't a Yankee collector to be found who attended these shows and isn't still talking about them. C'mon, drop the themes and shoot for greatness Phase II.

What is taking so long for this show to come together? It sucks so far, there's no meat between the bread. I agree whole heartedly with the guy who said to forget the theme junk and just open the Yankee encyclopedia and start getting name players, quality players. That it seems has always been a winning solution in past years. I'm not impressed with MAB so far because the announced lineup looks like a no effort attempt to get as many retreads as they can. Jack Clark, who I need a few times, dos not get me across that bridge by himself.

The great shows of years past are gone. They won't take a chance of anyone not selling anymore. They are just going to list a bunch of Yankees like you see up there now, find maybe one name to tout how great they are for getting them and then they will cancel whoever does not pre-sell well or get wholesale interest. They do it all the time and then say they don't. I've been told directly from promoters of other shows that players were in fact cancelled by MAB, not the player cancelling. Then they will announce Mariano and Edgar and hope that drowns out all the complaints because it doesn't matter what price they are, the new inductees will always sell. There will never be another good Yankee show. And there really won't be any good shows as long as this promoter continues to be the main supplier of talent.

Man, if you're being honest with yourself you have to admit that this show flat out sucks. Even an entry level Yankees collector can't do hand stands over this piece of crap lineup. This is like Andrew Lloyd Weber having a Broadway premiere and the cast is made up of local middle school kids. Very embarrassing, MAB.

Agreed, I was hoping for at least Bernie, O'neill or Tino.
Maybe Gardner or some of the young stars also.
Not a great line up at all.
