I don't think they are going to be adding much more for the Yankee fan. They stick to what they know will sell which unfortunately is the stuff we have all seen before. Raines will be the big draw Sunday. He's getting in. As for Saturday, the list is currently much smaller than Sunday, so I would imagine they have Bagwell and Ivan Rodriguez lined up already and are waiting to announce it. They have a good relationship with Tristar as they supply the majority of the National guests every year so it should not come as a surprise to see Bagwell (Tri Star exlcusive) added after the HOF announcement. And Rodriguez has appeared for MAB at least a couple of times in the past. This show really has become the "new HOF inductee show" with a Yankee supporting cast. The great old Yankee shows are a thing of the past.

Oh, he would do great, no doubt about it. But, isn't he a Tri-Star Exclusive?? Also, take into consideration, he was at the Atlantic City show this past August. If he was coming to this show-----he would have been announced already. That's a name that brings attention, and from the reaction of most people on the board, that's exactly what this show needs----attention. I could be wrong, but, I believe if he was coming to this show, we would know already. Fair enough. Like I said in a previous post, this was the time last year that the MAB show really picked up. I'm hoping that is the case again. I think everyone universally feels that this current lineup is disappointing . As of now, there is nobody that is announced that I would consider an anchor for the show. If they had 1 or 2 guys I wanted then I'd pick up an extra Boggs,Mattingly or Raines but I'm not coming to NJ for guys who appear all the time. Just not worth it Like boz said, last year after the new year MAB added Alfonso Soriano, Jim Key, among many of the current players - all of whom did well - Severino, Didi, Pineda, etc. Piazza also did well at last years show. As was just mentioned, Clemens appeared at the Yankee show the year prior. That was a strong show, also featuring O'Neill, Knoblauch, etc. I'm not sure why there's so much animosity. Yes, there are a lot of repeat guests but it's a strong lineup. MAB has spoiled us with strong lineups year after year - which makes it difficult for them to continue to meet or exceed some unreasonable expectations. Personally I'm pretty well set on him, but obviously Mike Mussina would be a huge Yankee get. I guess Jorge Posada's another one. After getting guys like Brosius, Irabu, Soriano, etc to make rare debut appearances at Yankee shows over the past decade, there's not as many premier names to make show debuts. Bottom line, there's still a full month. Let's see what happens.

Adding to my post..Dave Righetti was another rare get that Mollie was able to bring in a few years back. Same with Tony Kubek, who doesn't make as many appearances.
D.ck Tidrow would obviously be another good guest, but he's elusive.
Some other suggestions as I've previously listed...Jim Abbott (never see him), Mike Stanton (been a while for him), Steve Sax (hasn't appeared in NY since all star weekend 2008), Rudy May, Gary Sheffield, David Justice, Art Ditmar, Rollie Sheldon, etc
Was glad to see Pags added for Sunday, but since he's the only one I personally need at the moment, not sure he's worth the long trip for.

I know its off topic, but will griffey Jr ever do a public signing again? And has he ever stated why he doesnt do them? Just a guess but Griffey's net worth in 2016 was 85 million dollars with a salary of 2.3 million. Why would he want to do a signing? How much would it take to get him to give up a weekend and fly across the country? $100,000.00?? It's not worth it to him. Don't say to thank the fans either. Most of these guys don't give a sh*t about us. We're going to be seeing this more and more as the newer guys go into the HOF.

Guest is spot on and it's a troubling trend in the hobby. We will probably never see the likes of Griffey,Jeter or Brady at a sit down public signing. Unfortunately as the older generation dies off that means will see more shows featuring the likes of Ralph Macchio and Barbara Eden.
As for this show, I guess we'all see what the HOF announcement brings us and that's it. Disappointing.

Hello All and Happy New Year!
I apologize for not posting but there are a few things I want to say. I have been pretty sick over the Holidays and it turns out, I have double-pneumonia so I'm pretty weak. We have a delay in this lineup bc it seems to always happen. Boz, I never understand why you keep posting. You're always so negative. I give my customers the best lineups I can all over the country. I listen to everyone's requests. And yes, the Yankee show isn't strictly Yankees anymore for a whole lot of reasons. One, I don't do as many In Jersey as I once did bc that's not my business model any longer. I do a few a year and that's what is working. If you guys have asked over and over again for the same guys and they're not listed it's either cause their deal just doesn't work for me or they just do not want to do the show. Tony Kubek has a condition that wouldn't permit him to handle flying yet. Rags can't do it. Knobby won't sell anymore. Guys like Rollie Sheldon , art diymar will sell 29 tics and just doesn't work for me.
Some people said that we added current guys last yr and they did great, I.e. diDi, Pineda, Serreano. Sometimes I'm not sure what u guys see. The show was greAt last year. Ur the current guys did horrible. We added Coney/GirArdi, Bernie
Truth is bringing in guys like Boggs, Winfield and Reggie continue to do great for me so I will continue to do that. Those that don't want them don't have to be negative this show has something for everyone. If you don't like the lineup don't come, but please don't trash the show or our interest in trying to give u the best lineup. The Yankees haven't won since 2009 which doesn't exactly help our ability for fresh new names.
We are still adding. Thanks Guys.
Mollie Ann

Why does Steiner have all your players listed as private signings on the same day but you cant get any of their exclusives to show up?
I just received an email saying they have 60 signings coming up and quite a few are from the Yankee Show.
Glad to see that maybe you guys are working together but I would like to see it go both ways. not traveling to a crowded Long Island Mall for a signing...
I'm sure people would love players like Gardner, Sanchez, Pettite, Posada, Mariano.
Maybe even a few Giants players as well.

Mollie
With all due respect, what did I say that was out of line? I always have and will continue to support MAB and the show. I'm not the one calling the show "horrible" all I said was that the current lineup will appeal to newer collectors and the usual pattern of the ususal appearances were listed first. I've never criticized MAB on this or any other board. Furthermore, I always make it a point to recap the show and compliment your staff. I can't help it if other people quote me in a negative response. Additionally, inalways make it a point to see you at the show to thank you for everything.
I check this board everyday because I'm passionate about the show and always look forward to the last weekend in January. Does the current lineup underwhelm me personally...absolutely. But that's me, 10 years ago, Id be spending 1k with this lineup.
Now that I know that constructive feedback isn't appreciated, I'lol stop giving it.

I'm also sorry that you're not feeling well and I hope you get better soon. Double pneumonia is not fun. I've been there.
